Not necessarily. PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) is for people:
Age 55 or older
Living in a PACE service area
Needing a nursing-home level of care You can qualify with Medicare, Medicaid, or both. If you don’t qualify for Medicaid, you may have to pay premiums for long-term care and prescriptions.
Medicare is optional. Someone under 65 can refuse Medicare if they have better coverage (e.g., under a parent's plan or employer-sponsored insurance).
